Excited to Announce....

So, I'm a little slow on the uptake, but I did make a few birth announcements for Mia. I only sent out a few, mainly to Primary's and some of Kate's doctors.

They of course turned out beautiful! Everything you touch always does. I bet the nurses & doctors were so appreciative to receive that great news.

I met another one of Kate's nurses. His name is Ben, probably around 40. He is my brothers friend. You guys are famous!

Loved the announcements. Is it too late to do them for my 4 and 6 year olds?

I am so glad to hear Mia is sleeping through the night. Unfortunatly Zac is still really struggling. I am going to try Susan's advice and see if it helps me!

Hi. You do not know me but a friend of mine sent me the link to your blog. I have spent most of the afternoon reading, crying and reading some more.

2 years ago in April, my brother lost his little 4 year old son in a tragic backyard swing-set accident. My daughter is 2 weeks younger than his son and we spent everyday together.

Being a mother myself, I truly can't imagine the pain you have been thru. I can tell you that from reading your blog this afternoon I am so impressed with your strength and strong will.

Shortly after Wesley's death my brother founded a non-profit organization called "The Wesley Smiles Coalition."

http://wesleysmiles.org/

My brother wanted to turn pain into purpose. Their motto is "LIFTING THE LIVES OF UNDER-CELEBRATED CHILDREN EVERYWHERE."

Each year since my little angels passing, schools have been erected to help these beautiful children in Kenya's Masaii region.

I have watched my brother suffer beyond words. I have watched him expereince every emotion in the book. We (my family) have been on the outside feeling so helpless. I also have a good friend who is back east with her son who is attempting his second double lung transplant. You parents amaze me!

I just wanted to comment today to thank you for your wonderful example. What a lady you are! I also want to let you know that Kate is with you. I can feel my nephew often and find peace knowing that we will see them again as this life is but a minute.

You have those Wal-Mart meltdowns! I believe Kate was just saying hello. You wouldn't believe the little things that happened right after Wesley's passing and still do.

You little new Mia is beautiful!

This short comment has turned into a novel so I will leave you with Wesley's motto: "Be Happy Everyday!"

You might not know who I am...but I admired you from a distance back in March. My son Teagan was just born and we got the shock of our lives that he has a CHD, HLHS. I thought you were the cutest pregnant girl I had ever seen. You gave me a lot of hope those first few weeks as I saw you taking care of Kate and keeping her so cute and "NORMAL". I knew I could do it too. I also think I know your sister-in-law, Susan, we grew up in the same ward. I'm really sorry to hear of Kate's passing. I am happy to see your new little one doing so well.
HEART HUGS- Brytten (Teagan's mom)
