"Thank You" Good Samaritan

Thank you for not stealing my credit cards, my checks, my social security card. Thank you for not stealing my identity. Thank you for not stealing my camera. Thank you for not stealing my planner. For without it, I would be an unorganized MESS. Thank you for not stealing my favorite lip gloss (which happens to be discontinued). Thank you for not stealing my real estate key because I would have to pay to replace it. Thank you for not stealing my precious journal which includes my many thoughts, feelings and experiences over this past year. Most of all....I thank you for finding my purse in a shopping cart in the Wal-Mart parking lot and turning it in. You truly are a good....NO a GREAT Samaritan.

P.S. If you see me sporting this stylish number......
......You'll know why! I have way too much to lose :)

12 Half Marathons in 12 Months

So instead of the same ol' New Year's Resolutions I try and make every year, you know the "lay of the candy, stop drinking Diet Coke, quit biting my fingernails" resolutions (don't get me wrong.....I tried them and failed miserably the first day of the year)??? Well, This year I came up with some more realistic goals.....oh like: run 12 half-marathons in 12 months. You heard me right. And yes, I have the first one under my belt. Last weekend Bryan and I spent the weekend in St. George and I ran the Painter's Half Marathon. Because I don't run in the cold and I do all of my training (during the Winter) on a treadmill I wasn't prepared for the freezing cold temperature when we started nor the many unexpected hills. But I finished and that's all that matters. If anyone else made a "12 half marathons in 12 months" resolution.....I would love a running partner :)

Before......
(Me & my bro, Greg)
......After
I've never been so excited to see the finish line.

My bestest friend, Treo, and her darling baby Jaylee there to cheer me on.

Oh...the Resemblance

My sweet aunt sent this picture of my dad when he was about Mia's age. I couldn't believe how many similarities there are between the 2 of them....the blue eyes, the curly hair, the great sense of fashion :) It's no secret that Mia takes after her dad's looks. In fact, I can count on one hand the times I have been told she looks like me. But after seeing this picture of my dad, she definitely has the Roper look as well.

Funnies!!

I don't know what it is lately, but I have been capturing some really funny pictures of Mia. She found a new love......the sacrament cup. Who would've thought that this little cup could bring so much entertainment....and not just for Mia. The last picture is a personal fav of mine. Enjoy!!!

(Thanks Cedar Hollow 5th Ward.....We owe you ONE!!!)

The last couple of weeks, Mia has been....how shall I put this......Plugged Up (poor girl)!! I will catch her every now and then grunting, holding her breath and turning red. Now, I know that this is no laughing matter, but I had to snap a shot.

A Happy New Year and a "Welcome Home" All in One!

My second to youngest brother, Jordan (Uncle LoLo), returned home from serving a mission in Lubbock, TX. It was so great to see him and we are so excited to have him home. He was such a great missionary and I'm sure the people of Texas and New Mexico (part of his mission, too) are really going to miss him. The Boys
