We are having too much fun!!!

We have been having so much fun with Mia. She is such a good baby. She's still trying to figure out this whole eating/sleeping thing. She has no problem eating...the problem is the eating part makes her so sleepy. Since she lost so much weight in the hospital, I have to take her in tomorrow to have her weighed. I'm hoping that she has gained her weight back. I have to laugh at this picture though because her clothes are so big on her. I've actually been putting her in Kate's preemie clothes and they seem to fit her just fine.
Nate...you're such a natural!

We're Home!!

We came home from the hospital last night and it has been so much fun having Mia. She has been such a sweetheart. We had a really good night and she seems to be adjusting really well. I have to say that Bryan is one proud daddy. In fact, he's a little bit of a baby hog! It's a good thing that I am the food source, otherwise we would have to fight for our time with her....ha ha ha! We are trying to figure out who she most looks like, but can't see any significant features. She and Kate definitely came with the same hair-do, but Kate's hair was much darker and a little bit thicker. I think we're just going to have to wait a few weeks to see any resemblances. Here are some recent pictures.

The curiosity of a child!

I had the funniest experience happen at church today that I felt was very "blog worthy." I was talking with a friend of mine after church and her 2 darling little boys had just come from primary with their dad. The one little boy pointed to my tummy and asked "what is that, mom?" His mom said to him, "oh there is a baby in there." He got a puzzled look on his face and we continued on with our conversation. The next thing we know.....the 2 boys were on the floor trying to look under my dress to see the baby. We laughed so hard and I have to say that one little experience made my day!

Everything is all set and ready for tomorrow. We are so excited for this new little one to arrive. Stay tuned......we'll try and update the blog sometime tomorrow. I thought I would post one last shot and document that I am definitely ready to POP!!!

A Little Paranoia Won't Hurt Anyone!

I've been a little worried since my last check-up on Wednesday. The doctor asked if the baby was moving quite a bit (and of course she has been). He said to make sure she is moving constantly throughout the day and if I notice a decrease in movement, to go straight to labor and delivery. Well, being the worrier I am.....I started paying a lot more attention to movement. Maybe my mind has been playing games on me, but I swear I have been noticing less and less movement. Just to be safe, I called my doctor today and explained my concerns. He basically said, "when in doubt.....go get checked out." So off I went to AF hospital. Of course, everything was fine...the heartbeat was strong and no cause for concern. Still no contractions though (which is good considering I am having a C-section). So away I went with a little peace of mind to get me through this weekend!

Still Hanging On!!!

I went to my LAST doctor appointment yesterday morning and to no surprise.....NO CHANGES! Ahhh! I have been dilated between a 1 and a 2 for the past 3 weeks and 80% effaced. However, he did say that I was dilated to a "definite 2" yesterday. I thought for sure he was going to say "okay you are ready.....let's take her today." Nope...not the case at all. I really feel like I am ready to POP at any second. So, it looks like Monday is still the big day.

I found this cartoon that says it all!

Called To Serve!!!

We are so excited. My youngest brother, Jeff, just got his mission call and he is going to the Uruguay, Montevideo Mission. Jeff is such a good sport.....he received his call on Friday morning and wanted the whole family to be there when he opened it. So, Friday night my family met for dinner in Provo and then came to our house to open it. He is so excited for where he has been called to serve. He enters the MTC on June 18, 2008. We are going to miss him so much, but are so proud of him for his example and desire to serve a mission. Congrats Jeff.....We love you!

A little under the weather!!

I must admit that I am tired of this winter weather we have been having. I love the saying "April showers bring May flowers" not April showers bring a blanket of snow and ruin your flowers. But, I guess I shouldn't complain too much because we do need the moisture.....just not the COLD. Along with this wonderful weather came the nasty cold AGAIN (which by the way, this is the 3rd time since December that I have had it). It started with Bryan and I thought that it would bypass me, but NOPE.....I got a good case of it this time. A good friend of mine, Lindsey, told me of a great remedy......take a shot of Tabasco sauce and it will clear your sinuses and will speed up the labor process. Sorry Linds, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I am feeling much better though.

Speaking of labor, I thought I would just give a quick update. I thought for sure that this baby would come early, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. I really think that she and Kate are having too much fun and she is waiting until the very last day to show up. I'm okay with that, though. At least I know I only have 11 more days to go (I have a C-section scheduled for the 21st). We are really excited for this new little addition. I had debated whether or not to use the same nursery or use Kate's clothes for this baby, but I really want to keep Kate's memory alive. I finally brought myself to go through all of Kate's things and organize and box things up for later. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I miss her so much, but am looking forward to this new chapter of our lives.
