A Day to Remember!!

Memorial Day has a lot more meaning now that we have a sweet little angel to remember. The grieving process is complicated. Just when you think you have a handle on your emotions, there are occasions that intensify those emotions and Memorial Day is one of them. Kate's headstone was not set last Memorial Day, so we enjoyed spending time this year decorating the grave site and talking about Kate and the wonderful memories we had with her.
The cousins had fun drawing pictures on the base of the headstone....thanks to sidewalk chalk.

Mia experienced her first time being on the "greens." Here are a few other pictures of some Fillmore Fun!
Mia could get enough of Hampshire.....poor doggy!

Mia is a doll! And the sidewalk chalk is a GREAT idea. I am totally taking some with me the next time we go to Elaine's grave! I'm glad you had a nice day, although all the emotions are difficult.

I'm glad you got to go there on Monday. Even when you are having a hard time you always find the positive way to look at it. That picture of Mia made me laugh out loud...those cheeks!

You and Bryan are such strong people...I am sure that you have heard that many times. You decorated the headstone so cute...what else would we expect. Those pictures of Mia in the golf cart are so cute. Hope her first time out on the "greens" was a good one. I am sure that she loved riding in the golf cart...I mean who doesn't like doing that!!!
