4 Generations

While in Utah, we were able to spend time with Bryan's parents and his Grandma & Grandpa Rich.  We feel so blessed to still have both with us and in fairly good health.  They are 96 and 97-years-old.  It's amazing how well they are doing.  Grandpa still has his driver's license and manages to visit family, go to plays and concerts and keep up their once-a-week bowling outing.  Grandpa insists that they are still alive and kicking due to grandma's years and years of making "delicious and nutritious" meals.  What a blessing it is for our kids to know their wonderful great-grandparents.  This June they will be celebrating their 75th wedding anniversary.  Simply remarkable.

In Love....

Holidays are so much fun especially with a 3-year-old.  Everything is so magical.  We were so lucky that our friends, the Warners (Carrie, Nick, Ruby & Lucy) came to visit.  They came for a Disneyland vacation and stayed with us one of the nights they were here.  Mia and Ruby are only a month apart and are like 2 peas in a pod.  They had so much fun together.
Mia had preschool on Valentine's Day and we had so much fun making her Valentines for her classmates.  She told me she wanted to do butterfly Valentines for her friends, so butterfly Valentines it was.
Loved getting Valentines from Grandma & Grandpa.
While Mia was at school, Carlos Cupid delivered her a Valentine.
 Just what she wanted!!!
I'm so in love with these 2 little monkeys!
That night, we met the Warners in Anaheim for dinner.  You ask if it was a romantic night?? As romantic as having dinner with 4 kids under the age of 4 can be :)  We had a great time.  I feel so lucky to be married to Bryan.  Every day is Valentine's Day for me!!

Home Sweet Home

Bryan had to work in Alaska all week, so I packed up the kiddies and we headed for Utah.  What originally started out as a week visit turned into a 2 week visit.  I must say that no matter how long I am in Utah visiting, it never seems like it's long enough.  We were lucky that it had just snowed the day before we arrived.  Mia was in heaven.  I think she ate her body weight in snow.
As you can see, we're not all that equipped for the snow!
In fact, I found Mia building her snowman in this......
It was so much fun seeing the cousins....
.....and putting on a talent show.
Taking a bow.
We spent time with Grandma Great.  Oh how we've missed her!
....and Grandma Roper too.
As typical Utah weather, it snows one day and the next day the snow is gone.  Luckily we were able to get Kate's grave site decorated with no snow.  There have been years when the ground is completely frozen and haven't been able to put any decorations up.

6-Months-Old

I enjoy long walks in the Baby Bjorn, kisses from my sister, giggling, long, warm baths, eating every 2-3 hours, waking up 2-3 times a night, sleeping swaddled, sitting up like a big boy, standing on both of my feet and going to the beach.

I do NOT enjoy when mommy leaves the room, being on my tummy, rolling over, eating rice cereal, taking long naps and getting my shots.

A Party to Celebrate Deb and the Wee Moffat

I have been waiting way too long for the arrival of "Bean" Moffat (as he/she is referred to). My friend, Deb, should be expecting in the next week and I can't wait!  She and her hubby, Jonathan, have chosen not to find out the gender of the baby.  There are those who love the suspense of not finding out and then there are those, like myself, who love a sneak peek.  I have to say that I have strong feelings that the wee one is going to be a little boy....just my own opinion.

This weekend we threw a party for Deb and the "Bean."  I love any excuse for a party.  It was so much fun, especially seeing all of my Oceanside peeps.
