Don't let this smile on my face fool you.....
I had been fighting back the tears all day as we were moving the last few things out of our home and into the moving trailer (aka horse trailer). It wasn't until the new owners showed up and started moving their things in that I lost it. This has been our lovely humble abode for the past 4 years. We have created so many wonderful memories and will miss it so much. We made so many fabulous friends who we are going to miss dearly. We do, however, feel so lucky that we were able to sell our home especially in this down market. So, we are now residents of the the southern part of "The Valley of the Happy." Yes, we moved to Provo and are starting to get adjusted. We've been renting out our town home since living in Lehi and so we have moved back into it and will be here until it sells. With Bryan working for a California-based company, the plan is to relocate to the San Diego area by the first of the year. It's still not 100% since there's talk about starting a satellite company in Utah. So we'll know within a couple of months whether there will be a need for us to move to San Diego or not. So needless to say, the last couple of months have been crazy for us, but we're looking forward to a new adventure.
On a different note, I'm still working on my goal of "12 half marathons in 12 months." I just finished the Provo River 1/2 yesterday and am now halfway there. I've been really trying to work on my speed and try and beat my PR. Yesterday I beat it by 6 minutes. My finish time was 1:37:41 (thank goodness it was mostly all downhill......that really helped my time). I'm signed up for 2 more this month. I've really gained a love for running over the past few years. It started out as a means of exercise, but now is more of a stress reliever and very therapeutic. It's definitely my drug of choice :)
My good friend, Mindi, ran her first half marathon and did AWESOME! I think she's hooked!!!
